Position Details
We're looking for a committed and enthusiastic Groundskeeper to join our Palm Lake Resort Yamba team and help keep our resort grounds in pristine condition.
This is a Full Time role, working 38 hours per week between 6am to 5pm Monday to Friday in a hands-on capacity to maintain our gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, clean, and visually appealing. Your work will be essential to ensuring the resort grounds are presented to a high standard for our residents and visitors year-round.
Responsibilities
- Hedge & tree trimming
- Mowing, edging & whipper snipping
- Control weeds and pests through the application of herbicides;
- Raking and blowing leaves, pruning and disposing of dying vegetation;
- Planting, mulching, and maintaining flowers and shrubs, including watering and maintenance of irrigation systems;
- Oversee the outdoor presentation of all facilities, including BBQ & pool maintenance
- Ensure all mechanical equipment and tools are kept in good working order
What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for someone who shares our values and belief that respect, passion, community, impact & safety underpins all the work we do.
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- A "C" class drivers licence;
- Relevant gardening experience in a similar role;
- Qualification in Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous;
- ACDC chemical licence is advantageous.
- Ability to use equipment such as push mower, ride on mower, hedge trimmer, whipper snipper and blower
- Possess the physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying.
- Initiative & the ability to work with limited supervision.
